Investment Team
Jamie has 10 years of experience focused on private tech equity investing, from early-stage venture to late-stage growth, encompassing $22 Bn in private capital, $24 Bn in IPO volume and $23 Bn in M&A for portfolio companies. Prior to joining BAM Elevate, Jamie was a Managing Partner at Coatue and a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where his responsibilities included Investing, Fund Management, Portfolio Management, Valuation, Portfolio Servicing, Capital Raising, and Liquidity. He began his career at Morgan Stanley and has a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Marist College.
Norman joined BAM in May 2021 from Hillhouse Capital where he was previously Co-Head of the U.S. FinTech and Software verticals, directly involved and leading investments in a number of US-based investments. Prior to Hillhouse, Norman was a deal captain at FTV and Associate at TCV, based out of New York and the Bay Area. Norman began his career as a software and internet investment banker at Thomas Weisel Partners (now part of Stifel). Norman received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California
Esther joined BAM in August 2021. Prior to BAM, she worked at Andreessen Horowitz, focusing her time on private tech investments from seed stage venture to growth. Esther began her career as an investment banker working at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. She received her Bachelor of Science in Finance & Economics from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Gaurika has 4 years of investing experience. Prior to joining the BAM Elevate team, she was at SoftBank Group International, focused primarily on global consumer investing. She started her career in Technology Investment Banking at the Royal Bank of Canada. Gaurika holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of British Columbia.
Portfolio Support & Operations Team
Diogo has 15 years of experience supporting public and private investors across strategy, operations, research, and technology. Prior to BAM Elevate, Diogo was part of the COO team at Citadel Global Equities, where he oversaw day to day operations and the fund’s research process and analytics teams. Before that he was a Director at Coatue, where he led and scaled Coatue’s internal research and portfolio operations groups. Diogo spent the first 6 years of his career at BCG, where he was a core member of the Private Equity Practice and led multiple growth equity due diligences and portfolio work in the consumer, technology, and financial services sectors. He has a Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Catolica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, in his native Portugal, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Elizabeth joined BAM Elevate in 2022 and leads our Marketing efforts. She has extensive experience in marketing and events within the venture capital industry. Prior to joining BAM Elevate, Elizabeth was Global Director of Marketing & Communications at Next47, and previously led the Marketing Events Team at Andreessen Horowitz, where she was a Partner. She started her career at Stanford University, and ran events and communications for development projects and departments. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with an emphasis in Business and Management from Occidental College.
Mary joined BAM in November 2021. Prior to BAM, she worked on the Private Capital Markets team at Bank of America where she advised both private and public companies across industries in raising growth equity, structured/mezzanine capital and PIPEs. Prior to Bank of America, Mary worked on the Private Capital Markets team at Barclays. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Emory University's Goizueta Business School.
Perri joined BAM as an Operating Director in December of 2022 after completing her MBA at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. During her MBA she interned with Primary Venture Partners and the non-profit, All Raise. Prior to business school she worked at Andreessen Horowitz on their Talent Team helping their portfolio companies grow and scale their teams. Perri started her career in recruiting at Uber building the early Data Science and UberEATS teams. In addition to her MBA from Tuck, she holds a B.S. in political science from Santa Clara University.
Yujin is an Operating Partner on the BAM Elevate Team based in San Francisco. He joined BAM in January 2023 from SignalFire, an early stage venture capital fund where he was a Partner focused on managing the firm's network of customers, experts, and advisors. Prior to SignalFire, Yujin was a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz. He earned a Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton School, as well as a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University.
Brad is an Associate Director, Strategic Finance and supports BAM Elevate's portfolio companies across finance topics. Brad joined BAM in April 2021 from Boom Supersonic, where he was the VP of Finance. Prior to Boom Supersonic, Brad was an Outsourced CFO/Financial Consultant to multiple businesses. He has also held finance-focused roles with Altitude Digital and Groupon, as well as investment banking roles with Lazard Frères & Co. and Lehman Brothers. He holds a Masters and Bachelors of Accountancy from the University of Iowa.
Christie Unger is a Research Coordinator for BAM Elevate in the New York office. She joined BAM as an Office Administrator in February 2020. She joined us from Rumble where she was a Digital Marketing Intern and Studio Coordinator. Prior to that, Christie was a Marketing Project Management intern at Brooks Brothers. Christie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Marketing Communications, with a minor in Economics, from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Maggie Foss is Research Coordinator for BAM Elevate working in the San Francisco office. She joined BAM as an Office Administrator in July 2021, coming from working at Baxter Construction as their Office Manager. Prior to Baxter Construction, Maggie worked at the Disability Resource Center in San Luis Obispo as a Front Desk Associate and as an Assistant Manager at Pacific Heights Skin Care in San Francisco. Maggie received her Bachelor of Arts in English and minor in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
